Recent polls in Israel showed that most residents showed significant support if the government carried out an attack on Iran. Previously, Israel was widely reported and its allies will carry out attacks on the country's nuclear installations.
 
Dihajat Haaretz poll, the mainstream Israeli media, conducted following reports that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sought to influence the minister in his cabinet about the attack on Iran. The move comes after they successfully tested a missile believed to be able to reach Iranian territory.
 
Of the targeted number of respondents in the survey, 41 percent said they supported the attack. As many as 39 percent and 21 percent refused to attack claimed not to know.
 
The survey was conducted by an interview of 495 respondents with a margin of error of 4.6 percent.
Media in Israel speculated that there were plans to attack Iran's nuclear facilities but the Israeli government was divided on the issue. Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak on Monday denied that he and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has decided to launch an attack against Iran despite opposition from the military and intelligence chief.
 
Israel and some Western countries accuse Iran of seeking to build atomic weapons. Tehran repeatedly has denied allegations by stating it is building a nuclear energy program. Israel itself is known to have several hundred large nuclear missiles but the state has never confirmed or denied this.
