Dual Spectrum/Tri-band Operation
LevelOne’s WAB-2000A is a powerful outdoor AP/Bridge designed for using with wireless meshed networks. WAB-2000 supports IEEE 802.11 a/b/g dual spectrum operations working in the 2.4GHz and in the 5 GHz radio bands on both AP and bridging ports. With the WAB-2000A advanced design, the Super G (Trubo A optional) technology provide data rates of up to 108 Mbps.
Self-Forming, Self-Configuring, Self-Healing mesh network
WAB-2000A allows users to build a self-organizing mesh network which doesn’t require manual configuration. Adding new AP nodes or relocating existing APs is as simple as powering them on. The network discovers the new nodes or relocated nodes automatically and incorporates it into the mesh system. WAB-2000A is also highly adaptable. If a link or devices in a mesh network goes down, the multiple paths between nodes allows traffic to travel around obstacles via other path.
Strong Security
In order to protect your network from unauthorized access, this device is able to auto-detect rogue access points. Wireless network data are protected with 64/128/152-bit WEP encryption on the AP access band and AES-CCMP encryption on the bridge. Moreover, WAB-2000 also features enhanced security with WPA2/802.11i and 802.1x user authentication.
Easy Installation and Maintanence
WAB-2000A offers a built-in POE function to eliminate power cable and adpater management while deploying wireless outdoor AP installation anywhere. With its Web-based management interface, the users can easily configure and maintain the AP through a general browser.
